Sweden national team icon Zlatan Ibrahimovic was one of the goalscorers as his AC Milan team ended on the wrong side of a seven-goal thriller at the end of the Italian Serie A trip to Florence to face Fiorentina. Ibrahimovic scored two of the three Milan goals but it was not enough to claim at least one point thanks to the red-hot form of the highly rated Serbian striker DusanVlahovic. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Vlahovicscored twice to lead Fiorentina to a 4-3 victory over Milan.
Hosts Fiorentina scored the first goal of the game on 15 minutes thanks to Ghanaian footballer Alfred Duncan. Riccardo Saponara then scored a second Fiorentina goal on the stroke of half-time to deliver a big blow to the hopes of Milan getting a win that would take them three points clear at the top of the Italian Serie A table. Saponara was able to get a goal against his former team.

Varane’s arrival at Old Trafford is expected to see the Sweden international defender limited to fewer games and it has drawn a big question mark about his long-term stay at the club. Lindelof was Harry Maguire’s defensive partner under manager Olé Gunnar Solskjær last season but he was shaky at the back in some of their games and there were suggestions that United needed a stronger and more aggressive central defender who would be a better partner to Maguire. Sweden national team shot stopper Robin Olsen was the standout player for Everton during their Carabao Cup defeat at the hands of Manchester United. Everton hosted the Red Devils in a Carabao Cup quarterfinal encounter at Goodison Park with a place in the last four of the competition up for grabs. In the end, the Toffees were dumped out of the cup competition after their opponents scored two late goals. Until that point, Sweden international Robin Olsen had impressed in the Everton goal as he kept his team in the game with some excellent saves in the first half. He denied Manchester United striker EdinsonCavani on several occasions in the first half but he could do nothing about the opening goal of the game from the same player.
Cavani, who was lucky to stay on the pitch, gave Manchester United the lead on 88 minutes. The new Manchester United attacker had grabbed Everton centre back Yerry Mina by the throat at the start of the second half. The incident was missed by the match officials and the player went unpunished due to the non-availability of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology. The opening goal from Cavani gave the Red Devils the perfect platform to add a second goal through French international Anthony Martial six minutes into added time.
